The final full week of September is packed for Wyoming athletics, with nearly every sport in action. From rodeo arenas in Riverton and Sheridan to key conference showdowns in volleyball and soccer, Cowboy and Cowgirl fans have plenty to keep an eye on.
🤠 Rodeo
Sept. 21 | Central Wyoming College Rodeo – Riverton, WY
Sept. 26–27 | Sheridan College Rodeo – Sheridan, WY
The Wyoming rodeo squads stay on the regional circuit with back-to-back weekends of competition. Points earned in Riverton and Sheridan will be crucial in shaping the fall standings within the Central Rocky Mountain Region.
⛳ Men’s Golf
Sept. 21–22 | Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational – Colorado Springs, CO
The Cowboys continue play at Eisenhower Golf Club, facing a 23-team field in one of the Mountain West’s premier fall tournaments. This marks Wyoming’s second event in as many weeks as the young roster continues to gain competitive experience.
⛳ Women’s Golf
Sept. 22–23 | Colorado State Invitational – Fort Collins, CO
The Cowgirls head south to Fort Collins for their next outing of the season. With a strong showing earlier in September, Wyoming looks to build consistency in a two-day, 54-hole event hosted by rival CSU.
🎾 Women’s Tennis
Sept. 21 | Bedford Cup – USAF Academy, CO
Wyoming wraps up play at the annual Bedford Cup, testing their lineup against a deep field of regional programs. The tournament provides a key opportunity for fall development in both singles and doubles.
⚽ Women’s Soccer
Sept. 21 | at South Dakota – Vermillion, SD (Noon)
The Cowgirls take on the Coyotes at the First Bank & Trust Soccer Complex, looking to rebound after falling at South Dakota State earlier in the week.Sept. 25 | at Boise State – Boise, ID (7 p.m.)
Wyoming begins Mountain West play on the road against the Broncos at the Boas Soccer Complex. Conference matches will be pivotal as the Cowgirls look to position themselves for a postseason push.

Sept. 25 | vs Colorado State – Laramie, WY (6:30 p.m.)
Wyoming opens Mountain West play in a Border War showdown at UniWyo Sports Complex. The rivalry match against CSU always draws intensity and a strong fan turnout.Sept. 27 | vs Air Force – Laramie, WY (1 p.m.)
The Cowgirls close the week at home against the Falcons, aiming to start conference play with momentum in front of the Laramie faithful.
🏊 Swimming & Diving
Sept. 26 | Brown & Gold Intrasquad – Laramie, WY (5 p.m.)
Sept. 27 | Brown, Gold & Old Alumni Meet – Laramie, WY (9 a.m.)
The swim and dive season splashes into action at Corbett Pool. Friday’s intrasquad meet showcases the 2025–26 roster, while Saturday’s alumni event brings together past and present Pokes in a spirited tradition.
