Wyoming built a small lead but could not hold it, as Colorado surged late to take control. The Buffaloes then carried that momentum into the second frame, pulling away comfortably.
The Cowgirls showed their trademark grit in the third set, rallying back from a late deficit with a 4-0 run to pull within one at 23-22. But CU answered with back-to-back points to halt the rally and closed out the match with a decisive kill.

At the net, CUβs blocking presence made the difference with a 16-7 advantage in team blocks. Colorado also finished with three service aces and just four errors, while Wyoming committed five service miscues and failed to record an ace.
Despite the setback, the Cowgirls had bright spots. Paige Lauterwasser recorded her first double-double of the season, finishing with 11 kills and 14 digs while swinging at a .286 clip. Sarah Holcomb added nine kills and three blocks, while Skylar Erickson and Lily LaFlesch anchored the defense with 12 digs apiece.
