Cowboys Finish 13th at Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate
The Wyoming men’s golf team wrapped up play Tuesday at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate, finishing 13th overall at 24-over par at Tucson Country Club.
Arizona captured the team championship at 25-under, while Long Beach State’s Alejandro De Castro claimed medalist honors at 13-under.
Brody Knowlton turned in Wyoming’s best round of the day, posting an even-par 72 in the final round to finish tied for 37th at 2-over for the tournament.
Kellen Ball placed 62nd at 9-over after shooting a 3-over 75 on Tuesday. Brody Leid was close behind, tying for 63rd at 10-over with a final-round 75.
Kristof Panke completed Wyoming’s counting scores, tying for 68th at 12-over following a third-round 78. Conner Scheich finished tied for 71st at 14-over after an 84 in the final round, while Austin Barry, competing as an individual, placed 80th at 39-over.
Wyoming returns to the course March 31-April 1 when it hosts the Cowboy Classic in Maricopa, Arizona.
